On behalf of New England Stone, thank you for taking the time to review our newsletter. We truly value
your patronage. Let me take a few moments and highlight three things for you.
First, we have been working on two gigantic yachts. The first, My Calliope, was recently finished
and is featured below. It is currently in Monaco for the Monaco Boat Show. The second, Cakewalk,
is being built in Bridgeport by Derecktor Shipyards. Built at a cost of approximately $150
million and measuring over 300 feet in length, it is the largest-ever constructed yacht in America.
For this project, we've fabricated stone columns, flooring, molding, design ornaments, and other
stone pieces above and beyond the several countertops and vanitytops provided. We hope to have pictures
soon. Our company has the talent and means to provide excellent service on these more unique,
time-consuming projects. These boats have given us exceptional opportunities to showcase our skills.
Second, let me introduce you to glass as the hottest, new countertop material. It's green, durable,
and extremely well-made. Glass affords clients who desire traditional white marbles that same pure look with
less veining and maintenance. I'm amazed at how strong this product is. Nonetheless, let me
thirdly remind you that we still stock the largest inventory of fine white marbles, including Calacatta
Gold, Statuary, Vermont Danby, Thassos, Michelangelo, and Carrara. We've noticed a huge pick-up in
the high-end, residential market. Over the past year, we've fabricated and installed 2" white marble
projects from the Hamptons, Westchester, and Greenwich to Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, and beyond.

This home features the latest in stone technology –
Glassos crystallized glass countertops. Glassos crystallized glass is created by sintering
select minerals and fusing the sintered crystals together through intense high temperature.
Crystallized glass is as hard as granite and never requires sealing. Since the material has
zero porosity, it will not stain and has resistance to abrasion and scratching.
The home also features countertops and vanities fabricated in both Calacatta Gold and White
Carrara Marble. Please note the use of white marble as a shower door frame/door jam material
for the spacious custom mosaic marble tile shower.

As part of our new photobook series,
New England Stone recently published Volume II - Bathrooms. This latest edition
to our collection is entirely dedicated to bathrooms. Among the various featured items
and presented information, NES details the latest trends and styles of vanities, tub
surrounds, showers, tile, and flooring. The book also presents some specific information
on using full stone slabs in both floor and wall applications. Finally, owner John
Tomlinson highlights a few details of the fabrication and installation process.

Glassos Kitchen and Bath Applications
|
Glassos is made using a sophisticated technique of
sintering select minerals and fusing the sintered crystals together through intense
high temperature. The result is a material nearly identical to Thassos marble,
yet as hard as granite, never requiring sealing. Its qualities include resistance
to acid and alkali as well as extreme hardness and zero porosity. The material is
suitable for exterior applications like building facades, where exposure to moisture,
wind, rain and smog will not affect the surface sheen or cause the material to discolor.
Glassos has zero porosity and has a Mohs hardness of 6.5. It is therefore a
perfect choice for countertops. The surface will not stain and has resistance
to abrasion and scratching.
